identity exploration

So many of our identities are defined for us before we are even born. As we grow, we are often molded into ways of being by society that feel difficult to challenge. Instead of having the freedom to define these parts of ourselves, we often compare ourselves to expectations and standards society has set for us. This may be in relation to gender, interests, careers, roles, and many other areas. If you have ever felt this way, you are in good company! My goal is to provide a safe space for you to get to know your authentic self and work towards living in alignment with your values and philosophies.

Exploring who you want to be and who you are can be an empowering and difficult journey, especially if your journey is following a major life transition such as leaving the military and returning to civilian life. Part of this work might include taking space, letting go of perfectionism and the need to please others, and setting and maintain healthy boundaries for yourself that others may push back on. I will support you as you let go of identities and narratives that no longer serve you in order to create a life that is personally meaningful for you.
